Die russische Punkband Pussy Riot wird am 24. Mai ein Konzert im Schlachthof spielen. Ziel ist es laut Mitteilung des Schlachthofs, „die Chance zu nutzen, Pussy Riot in Wiesbaden eine Bühne zu geben.“ Ursprünglich sollten Pussy Riot an justi diesem Datum im Rahmen der Internationalen Maifestspiele im Staatstheater auftreten. Nach Bekanntwerden der Diskussionen um die Auftritte von Anna Netrebko beim gleichen Festival sagten Pussy Riot ihren Auftritt dort jedoch „aus Solidarität mit ukrainischen Künstlern“ ab.
Die Musiker*innen, Feminist*innen und Aktivist*innen von Pussy Riot engagieren sich seit mehr als
einem Jahrzehnt für Freiheit, Menschenrechte und gegen das System Putin. Dafür wurden sie mehrfach in Russland inhaftiert. Der Auftritt im Schlachthof wird angekündigt als „Aktion & Konzert gegen Autokratie, Unterdrückung und Krieg“.
Tickets sind ab 11. April im Vorverkauf erhältlich
Um Teilhabe zu ermöglichen und Zeichen zu setzen, erhalten Geflüchtete aller Herkunftsländer und russische Dissident*innen freien Eintritt. Wir stellen außerdem dem Paritätischen Wohlfahrtsverband ein Kartenkontingent zur Verfügung.

„Russia’s murderous and ruthless attack on Ukraine continues for more than a year.
The attack on the freedom and life of it’s own citizens much longer. This is also an
attack on a world where war as a means of politics and ideology seemed on its
backfoot, at least in many parts of it. Putin’s war follows an aggressive ideology of the
supremacy of an antimodern, absolutist Russian Empire, that will set further parts of
the world on fire if not stopped. The support for the Ukrainian fight against the
Russian Attack must not waiver.
Therefore we, the Schlachthof Wiesbaden, as part of the local as well as the German
cultural landscape, will use our voice and our stages to keep up the supportive mood
of the public, which is essential for politicians to hold and harden their stance on
Russian aggression.
This is the reason why it was mandatory for us to offer well known Russian activists
PUSSY RIOT a stage in Wiesbaden to perform.
Beside the regular tickets on sale to the public we offer tickets for free to refugees,
may they be from Russia, Ukraine or other war-torn parts of the world.“
